📅 Day‑by‑Day Immersive Experience

Day 1 – Xiamen: Sleep in a 200‑Year‑Old Mansion

• Afternoon: Arrive in Xiamen. Check into a boutique hotel transformed from a Qing‑dynasty red‑brick mansion (e.g. Lanqin Ancient Mansion). Enjoy a tranquil courtyard with traditional Minnan architecture.

• Evening: Stroll along Huandao Road or the seaside of Haicang – perfect for sunset photos and a relaxed seafood dinner.

Day 2 – Zhangzhou: Become a Song Dynasty Resident

• Morning: Take a 45‑minute bullet train to Zhangzhou.

• Hanfu dress‑up: Choose an elegant Hanfu or Tang‑style costume at the Ancient Town. Walk on stone streets as if travelling back in time.

• Intangible heritage workshops (all inside the Ancient Town Non‑Heritage Centre):

  • Zhangpu Paper‑Cutting – learn from a master, create your own souvenir.

  • Glove Puppetry – watch a short show then try controlling the puppets yourself.

  • Babao Ink Paste – mix and stamp your own “eight treasures” ink pad, a scholar’s treasure.

• Night: Stay in a Republican‑era mansion‑turned‑boutique hotel (e.g. Huazhu Gaosheng Inn) inside the ancient town.

Day 3 – Anxi: Live as a Tea Farmer for a Day

• Morning: Drive to Anxi, birthplace of Tieguanyin oolong tea.

• Hands‑on tea making:

  • Pick fresh tea leaves with a bamboo basket.

  • Under the guidance of a non‑heritage inheritor, learn shaking, fixation, rolling and roasting.

• Tea contest experience: Join a traditional “Dou Cha” (tea battle) – identify tea grades by appearance, aroma and taste.

• Afternoon: Return to Quanzhou for overnight.

Day 4 – Quanzhou: A Garden on Your Head

• Morning: Visit Xunpu Fishing Village. Experience Zanhuanhua (flower hairpin weaving) – a national intangible heritage. Local women will arrange fresh flowers into a gorgeous headpiece. Become a “walking garden” and take stunning photos.

• Afternoon: Explore the UNESCO Maritime Silk Road sites:

  • Kaiyuan Temple – ancient twin pagodas and a 1,000‑year‑old mulberry tree.

  • West Street – wander through lively lanes, taste local snacks (oyster omelette, runbing, etc.).

• Night: Stay in a heritage courtyard hotel (e.g. Ban Yin Shan Ye inside Qingyuan Mountain or Xiangli Qishu mansion).

Day 5 – Quanzhou: Kung Fu & Intricate Crafts

• Morning: Visit Southern Shaolin Temple – the birthplace of Southern kung fu. Watch a thrilling martial arts performance by monks.

• Afternoon: Lacquer Thread Carving workshop. This technique is used for decorating Buddha statues. A master will teach you how to “draw” with lacquer‑coated thread on a plate – create your own miniature artwork.

• Evening: Relax in a traditional tea house. Enjoy a Chinese tea ceremony or try calligraphy with an ink brush. Let the slow Minnan rhythm soothe your mind.

Day 6 – Quanzhou / Xiamen: Film Locations & Farewell

• Morning (optional, time permitting):

  • Wulin Ancient Village – seen in the movie Waves of Life. Explore南洋‑style arcades and watchtowers.

  • Shishi十里 Golden Coast – romantic seaside road featured in the drama Spring Love (extra transfer needed).

• Afternoon: Return to Xiamen for departure. Fly home or take high‑speed train to next stop.
